I am currently a Research Biologist at the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Space and Planetary Sciences at the University of Arkansas in August 2017. My dissertation research focused on the growth and survivability of methanogens under martian conditions.

I conducted a postdoc with Dr. Sarah Glaven at the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. My main project focused on metagenomics and metatranscriptomics of a novel energy-generating and energy-producing bacterial community.
